Strange request: Foods that require little or no chewing.

I have an ear infection that moved into my jaw. I can't chew food very well.  I can chew a little, just not a lot or very hard.  I can't take big bites either ( Read more... )

Well, there are some energy bars that don't require too much chewing but I think you'd get sick of those pretty quickly.

Soup maybe?

Daal. The naan will require too much chewing, but you could live on daal alone for -- well, until you died of scurvy, I guess. That's where the smooties come in.

Suggestions: couscous and over-steamed vegetables, jello, chocolate mouse, mashed potatoes. Hmm.

frozen yogurt, greek yogurt, any kind of cooked lentils or mashed veggies, saag w/ soft potatoes, bajhi or soft curried vegetables, soft tofu, or squished medium firm tofu. mashed root vegetables, spinach manicotti filling (order spinach manicotti, eat just the filling.), spinach quiche, soft poached or scrambled eggs, mashed cauliflower with cream and/ or cheese, overcooked spinach...anything vegetable can be turned into soup if you cook it long enough and put it through a blender...
