It's progress, I guess?
On the good side, I got home from my trip ok. The Social Security office finally received the paperwork they need, I finally spoke face to face with my dad's oncologist and found out there's a program that may remove the hefty co-pay on his cancer treatments, so started the paperwork going on that. In an attempt to hold onto my sanity this week, I’m going to list a few things that make me feel better, in any small way they can.- Working on the toy drive for my work. It’s a good local charity, helping a lot of kids, so I’m happy to be part of it.

I was hyperventilating with anxiety last night. The hubs and I deal with election stress in VERY different ways. He needs to watch every second of the vote-counting, every news channels take on how it's going, projections, etc. because feeling informed makes him feel more in control. I do not. Happy Halloween!
Well, that was a resounding success. The work party went off perfectly, costumes were fun, games were even more fun, and there was just enough of the right balance of food for everyone there. Our Seattle area trip went really well this time. We didn’t see much of Seattle proper, just the surrounding areas like Port Orchard, Bremerton, Poulsbo, and other places we’d consider actually living in (since I’m more of a quiet retreat person than a big city one). On Wednesday, this poor bedraggled kitty showed up on our porch, in the dark. She was a long haired, bushy-tailed orange tabby, and her fur was covered in prickly burrs from the fields nearby.
