Yeah, I know the feelings. I'm having doubts about my major, I feel my freinds that I have are all getting lame because they aren't doing anything anytime and I'm not meeting new people. I'm being driven mad by certain old freinds and I'm starting to feel like my life has no meaning. So we're on this road together. Fuck!
But don't say you don't have anyone who cares for you, because that's not true. You have family and freinds who are loyal. Like you are a queen and there's been a revolution because you're a tyrant and you refused to feed the peasents, but not really, just an evil cardinal framed you, but there are people who will help you escape the coutnry even though the guillotine ahs alreadly been sharpened. I mean, no one's trying to cut of your head or anything, but I like the analogy. I'd try to smuggle you out, but that might just be because I'm attracted to men in musketeer costumes.
All I can recomend to you is that you keep your chin up, kiddo. Things will settle. I don't know how, but they will.
Are you graduating in december or april? I'm in april myself and every now and then I catch myself FREAKING OUT. Next spring, we'll all have been out of high school for FOUR YEARS. We'll be out of college (unless of course you go on to grad school, as many people are doing). It's all so scary and I can totally relate. If it makes you sad, just think of all the good things about graduating, and then you'll get really excited (for instance, I think about getting all married and moving out of this blasted state!). And if that doesn't work. Go find some food. Food helps all the time. :-D LOVE! *~Emily~*
Dana dear, I am graduating in 5 weeks. Have I done anything... No...Do I care...Not really. I know it will all work out. You are a smarty pants! It will show and you'll do spendidily. Just relax, enjoy and let it all flow. If grad school isn't you yet, you have time. You really do. A year off won't hurt ya, and you can still get a decent job with any college degree. Heck your German skills could get you into the auto industry. And Wyoming is gorgeous! I wouldn't call that stranded :)
Have you thought about the Peace Corps? Or maybe the Americorps? There's plenty of things you can do that look great on a resume and will give you some time to think about what you want to do in life. Of course, you could always wait a year and join Teach for America with me :)
But seriously, those things are a really good idea and they give you warm fuzzies too. Good luck and if you ever want to talk, you know how to get ahold of me. I have some Peace Corps stuff if you don't know where to go at UofM to talk to someone.
