so my birthday weekend we went to Playa Grande which is definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean with polished tawny sand and aquamarine water and there is practically no one there. I took a concho ie scary taxi like car that runs in a route and costs 30 cents...to school for the first time today since it seemed very likely that our ditch path would be unusable. Its super muggy today which I am not enjoying so much. Our trip to Jarabacoa got canceled for tropical storms. we'll go some other time. Cabarete was absolutely beautiful. definitely the best ocean I have seen since durban in south africa. we traveled 12 in a tiny pick up. well since this computer refuses to acknowledge my pen drive, you'll have to wait til at least Monday to read my enormous entry. Everything is fine. hot and muggy and noisy that is... We start class this coming MOnday. should be interesting. so far the time is flying.

I'm in the Dominican Republic. I'm fine. Its hot. Ihave only 3 minutes left! My family is very nice, 2 older women. I willpost a big long thing I wrote on my laptop later. Miss you all. I like it here mostly. The group is 9 girls one boy. all really nice. I've never sweat some much in my life.
