Oh painful life, why do you torture us so?

I hope things work out for you! You should be a teacher, you'd make a rather good one I think. I'd let you teach my kids.

If it makes you feel better, I've been listening to this really kitschy '60s psychedelic/pop band called The Free Design and they have this really funny song called "Kites are Fun!"....when I listen to it, I substitute the 'kites' with 'bikes' and it makes me think of you all happy riding your green bike. I'll have to send it to you.

xoxo

That is f-ing sweet Dana! I want to go to Austria! Will you fence there if you get in? ;o)

If you don't get in (which I am almost positive you will) you HAVE to come to Minnesota for graduate school because I might be there for graduate school too and we could be cool grad students together. OMG, we could ride our bikes around the many parks that Minneapolis has to offer.

Ironically enough, I am looking at Michigan for graduate schools. Ha.

I think you'd enjoy Ann Arbor, since I immediately fell for Madison. Ann Arbor's smaller, and some people are snooty and think they're hot shit, but I'm sure your school has them too.

I had this sweet picture in my mind of us peddling off into the sunset. It was a lovely idea. Oh man! We could even potentially LIVE together, since we already know how to get on and off of each other's nerves.

I'm sorry, I was going to respond to Dana, but then I saw your Icon (I have been telling people about the Lonely Island and Awesometown) and I looked at your journal and the first thing I saw was your music was Of Montreal, and I decided I have to tell you you rock.

Geez, Dana, how'd you end up thinking science is more-contributory-to-the-greater-good than teachers? Teachers freakin' rock, and I honestly think good teachers are more important than good geologists (although of course you would be fantastic at both). So clear away thoughts of pedestal-like science, teachers will change the world first!
I would so be one if I could consistently stand to be around children.
