I tried it with yogurt (for the capsin --supposed to be as good as or better than milk), but I think I waited too long and it had already absorbed into my skin.

I did this once. I was cutting up habaneros, ginger, and garlic, all at the same time, and *slice*, serrated knife, right into the finger.

So painful that I no longer recall the feeling.
