This is the slowest day I think I've ever had at the library. It must be the weather. 40 more minutes to go and Roger just called to let me know that one of our air conditioners doesn't seem to be working. Not much I can do from here! -
the garden
spent the day in the garden finishing some chores. got the chain saw out and cut down some heavy overgrown shrubs so that more light can get to the vegetables. Finished the trellises so I can grow the tomatoes and beans vertically. I still have some space left, so I need to get back to the nursery and buy some more plants and one more pack of ( Read more... ) -

court date
Have to be at the courthouse by 8:00 Am tomorrow for my creditor's hearing. The hearing is scheduled for 8:30, but I want to give myself some leeway in case there's a parking issue. Hopefully no one will show except my attorney, and then we can be approved and get out. I took the whole day off work so I might have a bunch of free time with ( Read more... ) -
Mike's back
found out last night that my son Mike has decided to move back from North Carolina. Apparently there are no jobs there this time of year, and he was homesick. I guess that 37 is a little too old to make the move away from home and family. He put all of his stuff in storage and took the bus back today. Dwight's gone
We spent the evening at the hospital after we left the attorney's office. Dwight was still breathing on his own, but his pulseox was down to 40, not a good sign. We left about 12:30 and got home around 1. We got a call at 5 AM saying that he had passed away. We knew it was coming, but it was still a jolt. lawyers
Went to the attorneys today to sign our bankruptcy petitions. I thought it would be a hour appointment or less, but it turned out to be much longer. My attorney worked out all the numbers before i signed. I thought that I would sign and then he would prepare the proposed plan later. I guess the plan has to be complete before the plan is filed ( Read more... ) -
near the end
Dwight is back in the hospital, and this time it looks like the end. We got a call at 6 this morning. Apparently he had run to a neighbor's house, asked for help, and collapsed in their driveway. They called 911 and thsquad got him to the hospital. By the time we got the call, he was on a ventilator. We got to the hospital as soon as we could ( Read more... )
