the summer institute has been awesome so far. everybody is amazing. we started a DNA analysis lab today. classes start in a week. i'm excited all the time.
college is going to be cool.

i've had a great day.
my laptop came. he's gorgeous :-)
also, i'm incredibly pleased with my ib scores,
as well as my final grades.
high school has wrapped up rather nicely.

i've ordered my laptop.
i've ordered my bedding.
i've filled out all the housing forms; made all the deposits.
i've set up a checking account that i can use in california.
i'm making flight reservations for august 11th.
holy crap, guys,
i'm actually going to college.

we spent the day at alki beach building a "sandcastle" and roasting hot dogs.
we ate dinner at the alki homestead restaurant - it was delicious.

oh well.

my dad and i failed to complete the sunday crossword, as usual.
we listened to the blues station and made rice krispy treats with peanut butter and chocolate.
then we ate them over a game of scrabble.
i'm really going to miss this.

my summer officially ends august 12th.
I can't believe how soon that is.

it's may 17th!
that means,
I AM DONE WITH IB.
no more internal assessments
no more orals
no more two and a half hour tests
(although, i still do prefer IB testing to school)
but at any rate,
YAY!

UW honors rejected me.
not to be arrogant,
but what do they want that i don't have?
4.0, 2300 cumulative SAT, extracurriculars, and maybe my essay wasn't outstanding, but i'm sure it was, if not good, at least decent.
the people who made that decision were probably the same people who rejected me from ALVA last summer.
hah.

my english oral went well enough, and now I AM DONE. no more freaking out over 61 flashcards written in multicolored pen. i. am. done.

i got accepted at mudd :-)
with a full tuition :-D
i'm visiting on the 15th and 16th.
i had better love it.
