Think of it as a "bad moment". Each moment is different, and some are bad while others are good. Regardless, each moment ends...and a moment can be as short as five minutes or as long as a few days, but it's undefined--so you don't say "it's a bad day/week/semester" and fulfill your own prophecy. Bad moments pass...and there's always a better moment coming your way.
A woman in my group therapy this summer talked about her "bad moments," and it really stuck with me. It's helped a lot so far in keeping me on track with things and coping. Hope it helps. And, from what I can tell, you seem to be doing very well despite the moment :).
