My life has no purpose right now. I need one. And though I only figured out exactly what was wrong last night, it's been slowly eating away at me for a long time now.

I haven't slept well in days, but last night I played some Gregorian chants and slept like a baby. I don't know why I always forget just how much I love and enjoy music.

It's also nice to wake up, roll over, and hit the play button for anything. I really do need to keep my iPod charged.

Music is good.

I just had a really, really, really frustrating dream in which Anthony was a total asshole and Lindsay was supporting him. I'm really glad that they're amazing people in real life.

Apparently I'm deathly afraid of Crane Flies. There was one in my room last night that made me freak out, roll across my bed, and duck and cover. I then got the vacuum and tried to suck up the critter through the hose (I probably looked pretty stupid, brandishing it around like a sword) but failed completely.

I mean, it's a crane fly.

I'm pathetic.

I can't find some of my books. It's making me cranky.

Tonight I came up with a life goal: to read all the books I own.

We'll see how that works out.

Yesterday I went clothing and grocery shopping. I also found out that the Seattle Symphony was playing "The Planets," so I bought tickets last minute and John and I went. It was amazing (though the first piece they played, a world premier of a live-in artist with the symphony, wasn't my favorite).

On another note, today was one of those "I can't believe how loved I am" days. I got a very special card from my step-mom Sam. I don't know how I got so lucky in the family I have, but I did, and I'm grateful. I love them all so much. I miss them.

I just finished re-working my third article for EARTH Magazine. This is the third editor I've worked with over three articles, and so far she's definitely the harshest in terms of cuts. I think too that she managed to take a lot of my voice out of the writing, so I tried to re-insert that a bit in my clarifying edits back to her.

I managed to drop a fork on to my toe in just such a way that my toe is now bleeding from a wide (relative to the toe) gash. I dislike bleeding.

Argh.
