People who are not from the East Coast think everyone from the East Coast is from either the East Coast or the South. They don't care about New England as a separate category.
a) i'm from pittsburgh/maryland but i have lived in rochester for five years now b) i used to call them black-and-white cookies, but now i also call them half moon cookies...i forget who got me started on this
Yeah that would make sense... man you're making me want cookies now :P What is this for? Just linguistics curiosity? You should look and see if people have written anything about it, you'd be surprised! There is so much research out there about this sort of thing. :)
Well, I'll keep it in mind for the future, since changing it now wouldn't do much.
I didn't think about looking it up, though it does seem like an obvious thing to do...I think because I was curious about the people on my friends list in particular. Especially since I know a handful are from the New England area.

I don't think I've ever seen or referred to that sort of cookie.

And after I argued with you all the time about them being half moons. :D It's an Upstate NY thing, I think, so probably one of your friends up there.
