So, many of you have met or at least heard of my friend Nick. At one time he was my best friend. Lately thinks have been kind of rocky, because he started dating this new girl and I was being petty and decided not to like her, so then she REALLY didn't like me, and then by the time I got over it it was too late and she had already made up her mind ( Read more... )

I'm not trying to blame this entire problem on him, as I definitely wasn't completely welcoming to the new grilfriend at first, and that complicated things. I'm just pissed that I vowed to truly make an effort and was given the cold shoulder.

Also, I got a message from a triv person who agreed with the idea of maybe working out custody rights. That was really heartening to me, because it was validating in the whole "asking me not to go to triv is taking it too far" outrage I've had burning for the last 24-hours.

Well, having heard some of this situation from you before...........Nick is a douchebag. I kind of told you that when you were here, but let's be more forthright about it. Nick is a douchebag, and ELLEN is a bitch for making him uncomfortable enough to stop being someone's friend.

Actually I am very proud of you for all the revelations you made to and about yourself in that letter. I think the messages in there PROVE that you are an intelligent, thoughtful and (even if you don't want to admit it or always want to show it, ha) mature person who DOES deserve the love of someone who loves YOU for all your great qualities. You and I have this bad history of letting men get to us, define us, and then undermine our self-appreciation. We ought to stop that, but I think we're both on the right path. Your letter proves that.
