Steve Irwin R.I.P.

I am gutted, because he wasn't just some crazy bloke who chased snakes and crocs, he was an enthusiastic and extremely knowledgable conservationist and seemed to be a genuinely nice bloke.

We won't see his like again.

If any of my Australian LJ friends are reading this, I give them my very sincere condolences.

I heard at 16:30 yesterday afternoon (about 05:30 your time). Too sad to say anything really.

I hope the next world has big wildlife parks, because they just got the expert.

The world needs people with expertise, and people with enthusiasm. Steve Irwin had both in spades. Our loss, the next world's gain...

Is he as revered in NZ as he is in Oz?

Hey there,

Ok this isn't related to your post but...

I want to thank you, for chatting to me a while back, I was pretty low back then, I had really lost direction, you helped me, So thankyou.

Im kind of on my feet again now, I seem to have found, a balance between, swimming, tai chi, chess, juggling, playing violin, and art. It sounds alot, It is alot. but I seem to have developed a routine with it. and each activity seems to compliment the other.

It feels like I've got a full life, albeit unconventional.

So thankyou again.
