So what is climbing camp like? Climbing camp is like sliding uncontrollably down a cliff, spraining your ankle when you land beside a massive rock, and having to be hauled up a cliff by a really cute guy and a pulley. Good times.

Camp is going really well, but it's all a blur accept for the funny moments. I think I have 5 more weeks? I'm not sure! I'm constantly busy, but I really liked when the staff had enough downtime to see if we could stack enough Crayola markers onto eachother to reach the ceiling. I've started running, which is like a daily self-inflicted punishment. At the end of my run, I wonder, WHERE ARE THE ENDORPHINS? I'll feel them someday, right?

Oh crap, it's Tuesday. On Sunday, I go Minnesota for two months. How did that happen?

Last night, Coleen said her Hail Marys so that her car wouldn't die as we drove through the raging rivers that were once Youree Drive and Kings Highway. When she ran out of memorized prayers, we sang Girl Scout graces, like The Superman and Rock 'n' Roll graces - anything to get us through the journey!

The school bookstore bought my book back for 50 cents. I responded, "Awesome," and the guy laughed. He was Indian and really cute. I want to go sell more books now.

It's strange how quickly one year passed! Sometimes it seems like not a lot happened, but then I remember that one year ago I was packing to leave D.C., planning to intern with lawyers, and looking at law schools. Tonight felt like when back in high school I unexpectedly received the Woodmen of the World's reward for American History -- except better=)

As I was falling asleep last night, I could only think about how by this September, I will have classes of 60 Chinese students staring up at me. Maybe I should test the theory that if I sleep on a Chinese language book, I will soak up Chinese language skills through osmosis...

Tonight I saw a platter of these: strips of bacon wrapped around cheese and saltine crackers - all deep fried. One astute person remarked, "that sounds like the epitome of Southern food!" Yes, yes.

I'm not sure, but I may have inspired "murderous rage" in someone that "is checked by its legal and moral ramifications." Awesome. But then I think, murderous rage? Really? Let's forgo the dramatics, please.
