I've not been around on LJ for a while, and Kitling has been gently nagging me about it. I realised that there are people who I don't see face to face often, that I still care about, so I thought I'd have a read and see what people are doing with their lives

We are still here and kicking in LJ land.

As for different jobs - maybe something in the not for profit sector working for a charity - that is helping people - it pays less - but useful for part time - and how much money do you need really.

Hey there. Sounds like you are going through a similar set of questions to me at the moment. If you fling me your email address (which I don't seem to have) I can send you some links that I have recently been looking at which might provide some food for thought. Are you looking for something part time or full time? And is money an issue? I'm looking for something that will be more fulfilling than what I was doign before, and although I still have to pay the bills of course, I have a little wiggle room that I am hoping will allow me the flexibility to find the 'right' job instead of just 'any' job.

I'd love any inspiration at the moment so feel free to send me stuff. I'm looking for the 'right' job as we are doing ok on Andrew's income, but he'd love to go to 4 days a week and get more time with Cal, which means I need 3 days. I've been looking in the not for profit sector, and last year there were a few HR roles, but right now they are few and far between. And do I want HR? *shrug*

Are you interested in Not for profit? I know a few good mailing lists if you want them.
