My friendslist appears to have a collective case of the January blues and I'm breaking my New Year's resolution already, all of two weeks into the new year

Leaving aside the fact that you're obviously very talented and intelligent, you seem to be good at motivating yourself to learn things for yourself - knitting, coding etc. I really admire (and envy) that in you.
You have no problem standing out from the crowd and being different, sticking to your own opinions and ways of doing things. I love that you're different, and I also love that you're unashamedly so when so many people try their best to emphasise how like everyone else they are. Also, you're wonderful at just talking when I need it.
This is a good idea (and every meme has to start somewhere, doesn't it?)- the only problem is that I'm having trouble putting thoughts into words. Hm. I'll probably think of a lot more better things to say just after I've posted, but anyway.
You work hard and give generously of your time, skill and talent.
You're always willing to help people out, above and beyond what other people are prepared to do - like with entering these pets, or when you helped me rebuild the database, or using your spare time to help at RDA when plenty of people wouldn't even consider doing work like that.
I really admire you. Also, whenever we do warm fuzzies, I always send you a rambling paragraph. You probably think that there's a creepy boy member that has a secret crush on you -- that's probably just me. You know. Awkward in my attempts to show gratitude and respect and such.
I miss you too! Is school better for you now you're starting things which are actually relevant to what you want to do? Are people treating you better?
(Also? if I were nearer, I'd throw you a party, and I don't think I'm the only one. You're not being spoilt at all.)
As for what I wanted to say...you're incredibly talented at languages, I wish I had half your talent. And you're also a really strong person - you deal with things I don't think I ever could.
zomg zelda! My family almost bought me a DS for Christmas, but they'd sold out by the time they'd come up with the idea...
I love how you always seem positive and cheerful - people can be negative around you, like in chats, and it doesn't seem to affect you at all. You don't take things personally, which is something I wish I could do.
(and we do need to chat more! I'm sorry I'm so bad at starting conversations.)
I know we don't know each other all that well, but from your comments in the various (and amusingly unrelated!) communities we frequent, you have always struck me as a mature and eloquent person. :)

(The communities really have absolutely nothing at all to do with each other, do they?)
