French idioms
While wikipedia surfing in the absence of NC, I ended up on the French wikipedia looking at French idioms (or idiotisme as the French call them). I think the route was Asteraceae -> dandelion -> pissenlit (which is French for dandelion, referring to the diuretic properties of the plant) -> idiotisme animalier. See, it does make sense. My grandfather died this morning- I can't remember if I wrote here or not about him going into hospital with liver problems and low sodium levels which made him confused. I'm not especially upset because he was old and he'd been physically unable to do anything for himself for some time because of his MS. I wasn't close to him, either, he was in ( Read more... ) -

I sort of have two LJ posts in progress in my head, which is most disruptive. This afternoon I got to thinking about which neopet species were in line for a revamp, and dug up my 'revamp list' of pets by popularity (according to Neopets' own popularity page which is somewhat less than accurate) and by month of pet day ( Read more... ) -

A new month, a new pet yesterday *squish hugs Coinins* and now some new plans for things on Neo. Real life planning is a) scary and b) boring right now, but because I have to plan *something* it will be Neopets ( Read more... ) -
Long overdue update!
