goodbye lenin? is that the one where someone's mother has been in a coma for so many years and thinks they're still living in a communist regime? or am i thinking of something else?
well the film i was thinking of was one i've been meaning to see for a while...
see what happens when i only drink one coffee a day? incomprehensive randomness.
you're welcome to have my copy of the unicorn's 'and who will cut our hair...' -saw them live at coldrice and they were amazing, but i hardly ever listen to this. and i have it on my ipod anyway
def. recommend punish the atom's let's do the don't care - also have if you want a copy. have u seen em live? they're playing for CDJ soon (next week i think...)
the faint (can't believe you missed this gig!) are also essential buying i think. I have 'wet from birth', was thinking of buying danse macabre myself.
never heard of sea and cake but they have the best name ever
hey, time to escape the strip lighting and beige interior...
Thankyou! I must have read the name 'Punish The Atom' a hundred times because of you! CDJ mailouts... your LJ etc. Let's do the don't care has to be the greatest name for an album to dance to ever. How could I possibly feel self conscious when I'm doing the don't care?
I think I'll be giving the Sea and Cake a miss... I don't know a great deal about them and I must admit the name was a pretty big draw!
Those copies would be great! How's about I get the Faint and send you a copy in return? I could send you Goodbye Lenin whilst I'm at it... it's set in Berlin and the story's pretty much how you described it. Watching it almost makes me wish I lived under a flailing regime so that I could witness the liberation! Maybe it'll turn out that I am...
Aaaarrrggghhh... I'm confused! I did have Eastern Lane on my list, but I took them off because I'd heard they were quiet and the weather's getting better so I kinda want something to get a little hyper to!
I was listening to the mix that you made me the other day... definitely one to urge the spring on.
Definately get the first two and get kaito and the unicorns, danse macabres a mini classic when you sing to the moon and Duex Hot Dogs Moutarde is fit for the king. and the new le tigre albums not very good...
I've heard a track off Sur Les Traces De Black that goes 'Gary, gary,..... gary, gary gary'
Indeed i am djing at the academy, it's quite exciting, we're playing kind of funk, punk, new wave, indie, rock'n'roll and electro type stuff. However, after believing i may have a bright future djing at the academy one of the guys i dj with went on a rampage at the nme gig, threw over boxes of killers t-shirts (hehe) and tried to make £10 worth of damage, to pay back what the bar owe him, he's been band for life and our future now hangs in the balance.... we were also tipped to dj at club nme too, but that looks like a distant reality now :(
I really need to get Fancy Ultra Fresh sometime soon. I also need Freezepop Forever. Even though I've got all the tracks in MP3 format already because my sister has the album. I've heard a few tracks from Fancy Ultra Fresh, though, and they sound pretty great.
Ditto. Although, I really only download MP3s as a way of listening to as much new music as possible, so I have a feeling I'd end up buying more CDs as a result. Life sucks.

And a few things you really didn't need to know are on the CDJ top five pages (they really need to get round to changing those pictures...)
all intelligent thought has been drained by writing for inarticulate clients all day, so i'll just say:
no probs copying CDs
faint cd? cool!
goodbye lenin? also cool - thank u!
send your addy and i can post new tunes after the weekend: nayyarmughal@yahoo.co.uk
by the way, the liberation of that particular regime led to the widespread popularity of the scorpions. are you sure you'd wanna see that again?

(I got myself a new journal a bit ago, it's Deb (ex-constellate/Joey's overprotective 'spiritual' sistah)).

Electro Twee sounds far too tempting to pass over. Looks like I'll have to extend my CD spending window!

Did I read in your LJ that you're DJing at the academy or am I stupidly mistaken?
