Just booked my tickets to the Camden Crawl!

I didn't know that this still goes on... I mean, I've heard of the legend, but I thought it was strictly an early nineties deal! The line-up looks quality and it seems like it should be buzzier than any one of the summer corporate festivals!

Anyone know of a cheap hotel/B&B in Camden?

Ummm... not sure as I live just up the road, but "Yay!" about the tickets (I'm going as well...)...

The venue - The Royal George - fucked up in a major way so Chicks Dig Jerks are looking for an alternative place for tonight's "Help, She Can't Swim/ Punish the Atom" gig. Hopefully they can sort it and it'll all still go ahead.

There's a couple of possible places in town, and I'll let you for definite as soon as i find out.

All I can say is that it was totally out of the bands' and promotor's control but they're trying to do the best they can to get this gig to go ahead. Please pass this on to anyone you know who's going and check back here and www.chicksdigjerks.co.uk for updates.

sorry mate, gig's definitely cancelled. we're all still going to club NME around 10 if you're up for it.

help, she can't swim have being having a lot of bad luck on this tour - dodgy vans breaking down etc. so there's a good chance of re-scheduling at some point, i hope.

Gutted... I'd left work by the time you posted this! We'd have had to leave Birmingham by midnight anyway so we caught the train back and went to our local... Not exactly Dogs @ Club NME but beggars choosing... you know. Hopefully I'll be able to make it over to a re-scheduled gig.

Oh, man- so sorry! i posted the second it was confirmed that the gig was cancelled, guess it just wasn't soon enough.

Maz called to say they'd tried moving it to NME but the club said they couldn't do it at such short notice. She'd been ringing round and emailing people all day - apart from being mightily pissed off, she sounded exhausted and stressed as hell :(

Most of the usual crowd turned up to NME anyway - which was a cool night, as it turned out. I asked filth_and_fury if you were coming or had heard about the gig but he didn't know. I'll post gory details about the night this evening, plus i'm going to write a birthday livejournal haiku - check yer birthday post later today!

oh, yeah - book recommendations: JG Ballard? I read High Rise last year- definitely worth checking out, i think.
