Seriously
Chapter. 2
by: Dru
PG (Though there is like one swear word. heh.)
A/N: I had some written in a notebook and then wrote some up. A bit longer than the other part. Woot. :) And heh, I don't know much about Dr. Who except what I've read online and it's not much, so forgive me if I messed something up. lol. Plus, I'm trying something new in my writing so heh, it might read a bit weird or maybe better than before. I don't know. Hmm
Anyways, I don't have a beta or nothing, but if someone wanted to do that for me I would love that, but I've gotta say I'm a bit impatient. I could wait like two days or so before I'd get that craving to just post the un-beta-ed thing. lol. Anyone up for the job? Let me know. *Grins*

"You know, you ruined everything. We were just getting back to normal when you have to show up again. But instead of only taking the man I love, you destroy his image of me. Thanks a lot." Ianto told The Doctor, with a look on his face that he hadn't seen since before Susan was born.
Seemed he had mucked up things again. Great.

"You know, he is right. There is no way that he could have told you. it was far too risky." The Doctor told Jack, as he stood in the doorway to Jack's office. Jack was just sitting in his chair and staring into space. Silent treatment?
"So, he's really your son? This isn't a belated April fools joke or something?" Jack asked The Doctor in a very dry voice, who was now poking around Jack's office and looking at things like he always did. Smiling at things he had seen before and looking back at Jack with an raised eyebrow at other things.
"Yes, he really is my son." He dropped into a chair in front of Jack desk and looked at his old companion. all these years on Earth looked like they had weathered him down a bit. Too bad, he kinda missed the old con man. Sure, when he picked him up before he had been glad and there was still some of the old Jack in there but there was more baggage.
"That's going to take a while to get used to. So, is he like you? A Time Lord?" Jack stood up out of his chair and looked down from his office to the main hub where the topic of their discussion was cleaning things up. Maybe it was like therapy for him, some like to see shrinks and others shop, he likes to clean.
"No. He probably would have, had he not fled with me. I've tried to teach him things. He's a quick study, but in the end he fell in love with this planet and seems content in living here. He never really had that traveling gene in him." The Doctor informed Jack while he still sat in the seat with one sneaker-clad foot hanging over one of the arms.
"Did you know about the Cyberwoman thing?" Jack asked absent minded and obviously not thinking at all as he continued to watch Ianto clean up Owen's workstation and Jack just knew that Owen would hate that since he seemed to have this organized chaos system going for him.
"No. Well, the world does revolve around me as Rose... once said, but what does that have to do with my son?" The Doctor got up out of his seat, and walked over to look down into the hub where his son was still cleaning. Turned out he was a bit of a neat freak.
~*~Next day~*~
"You told my father? You told him about Lisa? What is wrong with you?" Ianto asked Jack in a very tightly controlled voice when he came into work the next day and if you couldn't hear what he was saying you would think he was telling Jack something as boring as how the weather had been on his way to work. Or in Owen's dirty mind something not meant for anyone's ears but Jack's.
"It just slipped out. It's not like I was trying to tell your...Dad, sorry but that will never get old. We were talking and I need something to talk about and it just was too late to drag back. Was he mad?" Jack kept on looking over the papers in front of him, trying not look up at the mad (not) welsh man in front of him. From what he had seen when he walked into the office, he looked quite good today. he always looked good, but it's like he made a special effort to look fucking hot.
"Slipped out? Great, Jack. Well, maybe I'll just let it slip that your name isn't Jack, then. Do you want coffee or anything?" Ianto narrowed his eyes at the man behind the desk and almost smiled as the man looked up at him when he threatened to tell his father about Jack's not name. Tosh told him, she had to tell someone and she trusted him for some reason. Even after the whole thing with Lisa, she trusted him. Maybe she shouldn't.
"Well, Ianto isn't your real name, now is it? It's not like I'm the only one going under a different name. Sure, I'll never deny myself a cup of your coffee." Jack got back to his papers, though his mind was no longer on them and he just kept scanning them and hoping that at least he looked like he was doing some work.
"My father already knows my real name. He thinks your real name is Jack Harkness. There's a difference." Ianto said before turning around and leaving the office, probably to go make the coffee for the whole group. Or to find his father and make good on his threats, is what entered Jack's thoughts which made him get up and go after the (up till now thought) younger man.

TBC...? Probably, but will take a while since school is hectic and I kinda don't have a plan here. Just writing pretty blindly here.
