Siblings' drama

Today is the birthday of both of my brothers. I was happy to talked to my brother in China twice, yesterday before I slept and this morning really early when I woke up. It's very sad about James. He's an adult, though, and if he's determined to accept the problems and miseries of his life, you can't force him to become healthier and happier. That's the frustrating thing about grownups. Even if he really wanted to get out of the marriage or at least change it in major ways, they're so financially interdependent and constantly busy with business that it would complicate things even more. Do you think she keeps them busy so they don't think about their problems?

Frankly, it sounds like your sister-in-law is the one who needs counseling most. She seems to substitute material gain for fulfilling emotional needs. Maybe I'm wrong?

As a sister, it's awful to watch a sibling stuck in a rotten life. :(
