So the first week of school actually wasn't that bad. Being able to retreat back home really helps. Even going to work is a source of familiarity. It's looking like tuesdays and thursdays are going to be generally whack. Between my Victorian Lit. class and Philosophy of Ethics, I have a lot of undesirable reads. Oh well. Fridays are beautiful. So Nik left this morning. I was sad to see her go. It's been a while since I've had time to spend with her, so we had a lot of fun this week. Nici gets back tomorrow, so it looks like today is the only day I'll have to apartment to myself. I have to work anyways...oh, well.

Summer 2005 is now tied for the best summer of my young life! After a series of semi-warm summers Chicago delivered with heat, sun, and an amazing breeze. I wore skirts all summer, got high a lot, made some money waitressing, and got an astounding amount of books read (partly a result of my internet being dysfunctional). So, I knocked one of my front teeth out, and had to make an emergency trip back to Michigan. It's ok though, I've already found the humor in looking like a five year old, who just lost their front teeth.

Sooo...it started out as a normal day. My roomates and I were sitting around smoking the herb. Then we decided to go thrift store hunting, which was fun. I only spent $30, and got a new skirt. I saw this info-mercial about a wheel-a-round chair for old people. It did a bird's eye view of an old couple in matching electrical recliner chairs at the Grand Canyon. I thought it was funny. It may not be funny in 60 years, but I laughed.
