It's been a really good week so far. I've been working, hanging out with my friends...and that's it. But if you include the rain, seeing my boyfriend, having money, marijuana, walking to the local market in my housecoat, making dinner for my roomates, and buying alcohol legally, it's pretty good, I think.

MY FRIENDS THREW ME A SURPRISE PARTY!!!!!!!!!

It was fun fun fun. The drinks were great, people I didn't even know were still in town showed up, and I have the greatest friends a girl could ever ask for.

Today was a better day. I just decided to start thinking about the good things in my life. Like my family. My friends. My Kiyoshi. I realized that I do have a lot to be thankful for, and Banca would be really proud of me. How's that for positive thinking ( Read more... )

Banca died a year ago today. I've been crying all day. It was really hard to get out of bed today.

Finished "Choke." Now I'm on "Brave" by Louis Luna. "Choke" was good, but not as good as "Invisible Monsters."

Finished the Eugenides book like three days ago. Working on Chuck Palahniuk "Choke". I have to work again today. It's Memorial Day. I think I'm going to allow myself the melancholia for another two days, and then put my happy face back on.

My weekend was great, got to see my boyfriend. I had to leave before his birthday, it made me really sad. Work has been good though, and our new apartment is really great. Chicago's being slow with the summer weather, but it'll be worth it. Changed my hair again. It looks like it does in my icon. Sans the stage make-up ( Read more... )

So I got this new job at Fusion, a restaurant in Evanston. It's ok so far, but Northwestern kids can be so obnoxious, and I got thrown to the wolves on the first day.
