At 9:00 EST time I defended my last two years of work, and my Masters thesis Synthetic Sensor Observations: Integrating Computer Simulations with the Sensor Web was accepted by the committee (with revisions). I have now fulfilled all requirements for my Masters degree. Wow.

As a graduate student, I am required to attend seminars given by my department by visiting scholars, faculty and students. The department I am in has a very heavy geology slant, especially among the grad students, so almost all of the seminars are geared to them. Hey, look. More photos!

When I first moved to Windsor I grabbed a place quickly. It was small. A communal kitchen. A single room with enough room for a bed, a desk and a dresser. It was meant to be quick until I could find a more permanent place. Well, as of two weeks ago, I've found a better place and I am all settled in.

I must be turning into a corporate shill. I'm happy that I got a new, bigger cubicle at work when the post-doc got a teaching job in Jordan..
