went to the chiang kai-shek memorial hall yesterday. workers were in the process of taking down this ginormous exhibit of not very attractive aerial pictures of various features of the island (sewage treatment plants, wreckages from plane crashes, etc. Why they would choose those shots, considering how lush and beautiful taiwan is, is beyond me).
