this is what happens when i am stuck at work for ten straight hours by myself. names have been abbreviated to protect those potentially googled:

This is great. Really inspired (once again). There's something to be said for 10 idle hours at work.

believing myself alone in the house-- and harboring an almost-uncontrollable enthusiasm for the recently released duran duran record notorious, i sit in the bathtub, belting out the album's title track from beginning to end with all of the shameless abandonment that accompanies being ten years old and alone in the house

Like how you perfectly sum up being alone in a house. I remember times like that, but I think the album was Janet Jackson's Control; an 80s masterpiece of, erm, invention.

i remember a few years back i saw this guy sing a karaoke version of that "what would you think/ i would dooo at this moment" song they used to play on family ties when michael j. fox would fight with his girlfriend. really brought me back. the guy totally nailed it too; he should be on american idol...
