I love so much about this story - the way he says her name the way a man in the desert says "water" - the way she hopes she dies first but then realizes she's better at losing everything - the way being pinned by him feels like flying. The way this gives a happy, happy, shmoopy ending that I LOVE.
Can I please please add this to my livejournal and keep it as one of my memories? I'd like to archive my favorite fic so I can go back and find it easily. Just let me know. If you say yes, be warned, I might ask for other fic as well :).

every time she glances at Lee she can’t help but pray, I hope I die first. Then she meets his eyes and thinks that’s probably selfish, because the cold truth is she’s better at having nothing than he is.
You're right--they give off so much sexual chemistry I'm surprised my television hasn't exploded. Others have said that you can't fight the OTP and it's true :-) I'm trying not to be in denial about the K/L, but I should embrace denial 'cause it hurts pretty badly to believe that BFF/family is all they'll ever be to each other.

K/L is inevitable. Do not attempt to deny this. Yes yes they have issues and like other people and are very frakked up but the fact of the matter is they will never have with anyone else what they have with each other, and if they don't die first sooner or later they will work that out. I don't expect to see real K/L anytime soon, because the point of TV is drama and complication, but eventually. Because of the inevitablility. And I think sooner or later one of the writers will figure out that there are lots of opportunities for drama about a functional couple in an impossibly bad situation where there are issues of rank and conflicts of leadership style and whatnot. So there. La la la la.

his glance flickers across her face and he says “Kara” the way a man in the desert says “water” and it occurs to her that maybe she’s his home, too.
Oh, it tugs at the heart! So lovely.
his eyes follow the zipper of her sweatshirt as she tugs it up and down and up and down just a little more, and she can see him swallow.
HOT. Omigod.

And there are so many beautifulfantastic lines in this that I can't begin to list them all.
'Twas wonderful, and I definetly hope that you write more in the future....that was incredibly poetic, and I happen to adore stories like that...you're one of the few that can actually pull it off.
Again, I adorelovecherish this story.
