I saw the most foul wretched creatures sitting in a tank outside a restaurant(?). I don't know what they were, but they looked kind of like dancing, inflated, pink condoms... except WAY scarier than that sounds. Seoul Pt. 1
During the last week in July, I went to Seoul with Cynthia (who I work with) and her friend from home, Gloria (who works at the other POLY in Daejeon). What followed were a few hot, exhausting, confusing, adventurous days, along with unnecessarily spicy Korean food and a LOT of ice cream. "It's Daejeon!"
That's the slogan of the city I live in. It's posted all over the place (subway stations, malls...). I went to a soccer game the other night where everyone was wearing "It's Daejoen!" shirts. The score stayed at 0-0 until three minutes before the end of the game... and then Daejeon kicked the ball into their own goal and ended up losing. That ( Read more... ) -
