The title, "Resolution" is perfect, and I really liked these lines:

"He is unbreakable because he is entirely imperfect."

and

"Sometimes Brian hates how life makes sense in a way that still confuses the fuck out of him."

I was reminded of Dorian Gray and also of painter Chuck Close.

I really liked the unexpected provocativeness involving the painting of "ugly" Brian (and subsequent critic's review). I thought the writing was excellent :)

Ooh that was good. Really interesting and a different approach to the majority taken where Justin's art is concerned. Really well chosen words and the characterisation was great.
