I don't know who I feel more sorry for, Draco because he doesn't get to keep memories that while the would endanger him would also sustain him, or Harry who has to live with Draco being his usual Harry-hating self after his memory has been wiped.

Thank you very much! They both went through a lot, but I guess I felt more sorry for Harry since Draco kept getting blissfully obliviated time and again whereas poor Harry had his heart broken every time Draco forgot about them. Luckily Gryffindors never give up. ;)

Gosh, what a beautiful story and a way to protect Draco I'd never thought of before. All Harry's sad looks really got to me, but all along I never disliked Draco as you gave him really valid reasons for keeping Harry at a distance. I absolutely loved the flow of the story and the pacing was brilliant - I think if there was anything I might have liked more was that your last scene could have been expanded a little (if only for more H/D interaction and to see more of Draco's relaisation about what had been happening. But other than that it was wonderfully written and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was such a shame that it never appeared in hd_holidays and I have to thank mizbean for linking it in her journal, else I would have missed a fabulous story.

Thank you very much for your comment! It's interesting about the last scene, because even though it was originally part of the fic, I debated a lot whether to exclude it and end the fic in the kitchen scene. My beta convinced me to leave it there and I'm happy I did because H/D deserves all the togetherness they can get. ;)

I was just worried it might sound too much like repetition since Draco had already once discovered their past history. I think that the last line, for example, lost some of its effectiveness since I rewrote the bedroom scene and made Harry reveal how Draco had been the one to start it all. But it's nice to hear there are different opinions about it.

And thanks to mizbean and her rec, the comm's posting opened up for all members and I was finally able to post this there alongside others. :)

I loved this. It's beautiful and angsty and with a nice ending. The plot and whole idea is mind-blowing, as are the smutty parts because there is so much feeling throughout the whole thing. ♥
