Empathy is no minor game. Remember, with the extacy of emotion...come the pain. As for the vivid nature of the emotion, I continue to whisper words of caution - make sure the difference between the empathic feelings to one's own is known.

I agree. I've had boyfriends try to hide something from me, and I could always sense it. And it seemed glaringly obvious to me, even on the phone, even when not saying anything at all.
