I took this photo in my backroom with the lights out. I have a fairly bright desk light that I brought in there with me. My sister ended up coming in as well, and decided to help me out with the lighting. She picked up the lamp and started making it hover right above the cigarette (before it was still a foot away or so). I cropped the photo just under where the light was sitting. The heat from the light was making the smoke do delightful things - curl and dance. So to begin with, the lighting was fairly centralized. Then when I brought it into Photoshop I just did a bit of quick burning to make the black really black, and turned down the saturation (it was fairly yellow). And, I think, that's that. :)
