It's been a while since I talked on here about anything of import; let's face it; I'm not much for sharing. I do, however, read the LJ's of those on my friends list adn give you all huggles and gropes from your Doug

check and see if you can get some sort of transfer/position change from DHL around then. I'm sure they must at least have an office of some sort in this area, and hopefully the company will oblige. If not, at least maybe you can get them to give you a letter of reccomendation or something. Also, temp agencies. they put me where I work, and things have been groovy on that end ever since.
Heh, I think I'm getting ahead of myself with excitement. I miss the hell outta you guys, we all do. Here's hoping they find a cure and that they can get you up here.
Oh, sensitivity to light? lecherous pervert? Yeah, I think we can remove all doubt (if there ever was) that you are, in fact, a Setite :P
We are still technically temps here at DHL, though we have a chance at being hired on as FTE's if we were to request a transfer to another DHL facility. We may even be able to stay on here and VPN from the new locale; but again, that requires FTE.
And so people know, this isn't a decision made lightly on our end. The cost of living out here is nearly double that of the St Louis area. We have a lot of friends out there that we miss. We have family there. There's no sand there...
So yeah, we're moving back; and that's cured or not.
Sounds like the job thing has the potential to be simplified, as I don't see why you couldn't get FTE
That's nuts about the cost of living, though this does seem to be a fairly cheapish area as far as major cities go. And I understand about the friends thing. I don't think I *could* live anywhere but here, as I'd be lonely as hell for a while.
It's not something that probably should have been given over the phone at all, but I'm sure he did it to make you squeal; it is a nice sound, after all.
Yay! I'm presently in WI so I still won't be in the same state as you guys, but I'm still excited that you'll be closer on the off-chance that maybe someday I'll see you around. ^_^
And the possible cure news is really amazing. I know being a guinea pig must suck, but at the same time, the idea that you can be part of a cure for something is really awesome. And I definitely hope that comes through for you.
*gropes to you and Cody* (Even though I haven't met him)
Erin IM'd me the reply, got a few things that need cleared up before we do the bank thing and might need some assist in that. Been a while since I was in the Loan industry; so I'm not even sure what I'm gonna need at this point.
Well, if we don't have our own home lined up by Jan 1, we may very well take you up on that. You and Kirby sure it's ok to bring the 2-year-old into the bachelor pad?

Otherwise things will be found oh yes oh yes
