Despite that unfortunate first day of work, I will continue working at the host club. The pay is very good, the tips more so, and I can observe these other city dwellers when I am not otherwise inebriated. I will have a talk with management about this drinking policy, though I have an inkling nothing will come of it

Well, Number IX, you will be pleased to know that I will no longer be dependent on your income--I have found a job in a "host club." I will be moving out once I have found appropriate quarters.
I find it peculiar that one may find a job pouring drinks for others. Especially one that pays amazingly well.
