Only if he gives the basics of it over to someone trustworthy, like Martha. Let her use it.
That kind of thing's way too easy to weaponise if he gets put in charge of it. You go putting little tiny machines inside people and you're only a red button away from telling them to shut down someone's heart, rewrite DNA or... Even worse.
It'd be the ultimate in extortion if they get in the wrong hands.
Yes, I'm aware of the potential dangers of this technology being used the wrong way, which is why I'm in favor of any measures put forward to insure that it doesn't happen.
My goal is to make the most of this technology as a tool for helping people.
I agree that Dr. Lewis' intelligence could be put to better use, but supervision alone isn't enough to guarantee he wouldn't try again. Do you have a background in nanotechnology? Enough to notice if Dr. Lewis starts altering the design or programming to carry out non-medical functions?
[Narvin feels partly responsible for the first take-over because Rex was his lab assistant and he didn't watch him closely enough. So he's trying to make up for it now.]

I'm not entirely comfortable with it just yet, because I'm not sure of his progress recently. [Especially given the situation with Iago, who might have killed someone for him. He still hasn't heard the motive.] But that's just a personal opinion.
I would be willing to keep an eye on him. Before, when he initiated his take-over he had to use wardens. Yet he refused to use me. I also vouched for him to renew his work there, and I would very much like to see him become a healer again.
He's taken great pains not to reveal the secrets of his particular brand of nanotechnology in comparison to others. I know quite a bit about nanotechnology. But not his.
I do believe that if he were given the right to explore it in any fashion, he also needs to tell someone how it works.

Ah, I wasn't aware that there were actually different varieties. Between the two of you, which of you do you think is more knowledgeable in that field?
I would say this would be an excellent idea once Rex is further progressed away from the lack of ethics that led to the first incident. It could certainly be a boon to his redemption process, but it is not safe to implement until he can be fully trusted.
