Recently I have been attempting to repair my grandmother's Internet connection. The DSL light on her modem was unlit meaning the modem was not synchronising with the DSL line. This resulted in making lots of phonecalls to the helpdesk (0845 number rather conveniently...for them) and being bounced from department to department and put on hold most ( Read more... )

I slacked updating and a lot has happened. Funeral had an amazing turn out, car lights are fixed, got a job interview and failed it through lack of experience and currently have another application slowly grinding through the cogs ( Read more... )

Quick update, off to my grandads funeral and got to read something. Also bulb on my headlights blew so no car.

I just got back from the hospice. After tonight I just don't feel like sleeping, especially with what I saw. My grandfather was fighting for breath, he could barely breath with the respirator mask on and when he spoke his voice was very hard to understand with the stuff in his throat. My grandfather is currently in a Hospice at the moment. He is suffering from a muscle neurone wasting condition called MND and is in bad shape. Tonight could be his last night. Apparently a lot of LAS personnel, who he was once in the employ of, are also visiting and me and my family are going up later on tonight. Either way it looks like it could ( Read more... )

After bugging the college yet again for my grade, it turns out I passed my degree somehow. The grade is guessed to be a 2:2 but considering my course leader isn't the brightest chap and wasn't sure what I got, I am sat here thinking "Just what have I got?"
