As an extra special New Years present to ourselves, we closed on a cute litle house just a mile outside of the Province on Dec. 31. Life is now consumed by packing and hauling, packing and hauling. Been a while!

Lost my job almost 3 weeks ago. I am not as upset as you might imagine.

We are in the process of buying a house in the Speedway Gardens neighborhood, which is not Speedway.

I hang out on Facebook nowadays. I have embraced the micro thought.

Heading up to Marquette, MI the second week of Nov. Bringing Winter gear! I am beyond excited about this. Things have not been so great lately and I need some highway!

Sometimes you wonder if anything you're trying to teach your children is sinking in. It isn't always obvious and the signs are usually completely random, especially when they're young. The lesser of the races of summer is this weekend, the Red Bull Motorcycle Grand Prix. Smallish crowd, international flavor, and Chopper 13 does not hover over my house at 7:30 AM on race day, like it does for the 500 & 400. Had a group of French guys in the store last night. French guys are hot!

Last night I made "Creole" style rabbit for dinner. I don't know what's Creole about it, that's just what the recipe is called. I let the rabbit sit overnight with a wet rub of garlic, onion, salt, pepper, cayenne, paprika and vinegar. I have finally joined Facebook. The peer pressure was too great. I made El Dad swear that he will indeed snuff me if I join Twitter though. Have to draw the line somewhere!
