Seven eps into IS and I almost don't want to watch anymore, because it's becoming increasingly clear that my OTP isn't the OTP and WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME.

...Granted, I find her pretty sympathetic, but I'm having trouble liking Miwa-chan (much less shipping her with anyone) in these last few episodes. My issue is that she's essentially trying to make Haru's life miserable. If you think about it, the only real reason that she likes Haru is because they're both IS, which isn't exactly the basis for a healthy relationship. In addition, she kind of makes Haru miserable with every interaction they have, which makes it harder for me to ship them, because it feels a bit like she wants to make him cynical enough about the rest of the world that he turns to her for consolation ( ... )

I hope my comments above don't make me seem militant about Miwa. I'm not going to beat you if you dislike her. >___> I just... don't. I think she's a really interesting character and I'm rooting for her and Haru to get their happy endings.

If you think about it, the only real reason that she likes Haru is because they're both IS, which isn't exactly the basis for a healthy relationship.

I disagree with this, though. She sought him out because of his IS, but she's said several times that she admires his strength and straightforwardness and the kind of person he is. She enjoys his company and spending time with him. He saved her from a suicide attempt! She likes him for plenty of reasons beyond "your junk kinda looks like my junk."

I felt it was an awesome twist that they would have an IS person also struggle with being confused about their sexuality

I think I would've liked soccer boy a lot more if this had been the case. Like, if Haru had met him as his fateful cherry blossom OTP, and if he'd instantly bonded with him right from ( ... )

I think someone told me he and soccer boy were manga endgame, which makes NO sense to me, because if the writers had that kind of source material in advance then why the hell would they promote Miwa like the OTP?

I don't think I can have a clear opinion about this drama.It's true that Miwa and Haru ars such a shippable pair but...Miwa-chan scares me.I know she has a damn good excuse , being raised by her mother( DAMN I HATE HER) but sending a letter for them to break up?seriously now?

Also, I kinda like Ibuki-san (the moment they were at his house and Haru spoke about understanding having an issue that you don't want to talk about you could see him falling in love) BUT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD WE ARE AT EPISODE 7 GIVE ME HIS PAST.The hints are interesting but it's time for the whole story!

Finally Haru...I am surprised myself that no one, including her IS instructor didn't mention the fact that she may be bi.Yeah ok you like one boy that doesn't erase your whole identity and the way you've lived as a boy so far.

P.S. I HATE THE TEACHERS( reasons too obviousXD)

Yeah, I can't defend the letter. That was a shitty thing to do. :/ And when she caught Haru and Ibuki hugging on the soccer field I was seriously prepared for a frilly, lacy meltdown.

She definitely isn't the most stable of personalities... I just love her anyway.

Exactly! Okay, so his father is freaking out because his son is suddenly acting more like a daughter. That's understandable. But even his IS mentor woman can't offer some comfort? She can introduce Haru to the concept of gender fluidity but not bisexuality? Really?
