Wait, Adrien Brody is in The Village? I've been planning to rent it anyway, but now I've no choice. The Forgotten, on the other hand, I'm not familiar with.

I truly loved The Village as well..though others said a bunch of crap about it. I thought it was well done, great acting, and it held my attention the whole time. I just sat back and let it entertain me...rather than look for the silly stuff people said about it. I think M. Shyamlan's movies are always top notch..he has a great imagination :)

I saw both of these recently as well. And my pick of the two is The Forgotten. I didn't hate The Village the way some people did; it was entertaining with fairly decent writing and acting. But I did find it predictable. (Then again, I find all his movies predictable...) This is not necessarily bad. I like being right after predicting the movies ending about 15 minutes in. ;-)
