stupid jar, I hate it when that happens. I have the same problem with certain bottles of alcohol, but at least I can't drink alone then...

Did you tap the metal lid on the edge of the nearest countertop or table? It'll help break the seal, so it'll open easy.

actually i did, several times last night. i finally got annoyed with it enough that i did it 20 some times and it finally worked! Pickles!
