WriterconUK 2009 Midimeet

I'm back! And I bet most of you didn't even know I was gone. :P

On Friday I trundled off to the Ramada Hotel in Coventry for my first ever WriterconUK Midimeet. Of the 25 other attendees, I had met precisely one before: kitty_poker1, so it was a weekend of dizzying memory blanks and jumbled names/nyms/IDs.

Your talk was excellent! And put me off ever modding a comm, in the nicest possible way. It means making decisions. And, heaven forfend, tagging. *wibble*

I'll be so much nicer to comm mods from now on. It's not just a matter of clicking on 'create community' and waiting for them To Come. Eek!

How are you still awake? And hils is, too. There was too little alcohol involved is the only excuse. :P

The programme really worked out to be well-balanced and highly entertaining as well as educational. Who knew? It wasn't quite stick in a pin...

Tagging isn't so scary. repetitive yes, once you have your tag scheme in place, but once it's done, it' easy enough to keep up. ;)

I had over 5 hours sleep! That's more than I usually have when I need to be in work for noon on a Sunday, so our 3am goodnights didn't faze me at all. :P

The program was very well-balanced and educational/entertaining. I'm just very glad my pin got stuck in an afternoon slot. Trying to sound competent in the am would have been just too hard.

I did indeed! :D I sang long and loud while I had him captive on the train to Cheltenham Spa. :D

He also dangled Deadshot and Catman under my nose, and Booster Gold and Blue Beetle. Which was sneaky and underhanded and should be commended.

Wanna mod me up at we_love_damian? I'm not admitting to any additional obsessions, but I just automatically went to edit the tags of a recent post (where some silly poster hadn't added her own a: tag. *pokes you*). ;)

I don't want him feeling neglected. :P

I'm glad you got home safe. It was lovely to meet you. Next year I will try and wean myself towards later nights, for a few weeks before hand, *grin* in the hope that I might be able to keep up with you and Kitty and Hils.

Ha! I do the exact same thing, from the other end of the clock. I try to dial my bodyclock back an hour or two a day for a few days before going off to visit with diurnal types. Then it slowly dials itself back down to the vampire setting. :P
