Odds 'n' sods
Getting straight into it: Much loved father-in-law has been extremely ill for some time. He's fought the odds and,thanks to the NHS (with some reservations), is still alive and kicking, no sign of dementia despite the terrifying delusions brought on by an additional kidney disease, so I'm cautiously optimistic he'll make Xmas and maybe even his ( Read more... ) -
Not been around much
There's a reason, or several. Really.
(1) During the last election, I felt in the minority, judged. I'm economically and socially right wing, but think anyone genuinely disabled should get every benefit going.
(2)I detest Wincest. No argument about it. It's revolting. -

As usual, I'll give a pass to the Wincest, *gag*, but here's the best and brightest of the RPS. I'm aware of the irony. Some people find RPS as unpleasant as I do Wincest. Ce la vie. ;o)

I'm so excited! It's coming up fast and if last year is anything to go by, and the year before and the year before that, etc., it'll be brilliant! Buffy and Academia...
Now here's an interesting thing: Buffy slays academics. Agree with some conclusions or not, Buffy is apparently still attracting serious analysis (as, in fact, it has for years, not least on LJ). A tribute to its continuing appeal, achieved through layered characters and storylines, I'd suggest.
