Ten days ago, I finally got all my ducks in a row, holiday okayed, finances healthy enough that I could decide, yes, I was going to writerconuk's meet in Coventry for the first weekend in August. Yay!

Seven days ago, I woke up with a tickle in my throat.

Harley's outfit is atrocious. It doesn't just say 'hooker' it says 'cheap hooker'. How can they justify putting an acrobat into a pair of too short short shorts and a partially laced up basque?! *raeg*

I think women should be given equal fanservice:

For every comic that contains an impossibly pneumatically-enhanced pair of underclad tits, I want to see an un-armored, lovingly pencilled, carefully inked 10" cock. I don't care if it's covered in skintight lycra, latex or plain old tighty whities, but it's only fair, right?

Dammit! I was looking forward to company on the train again. :( And frankly, even as a male comic book reader, I'm not liking what I hear of certain parts of the reboot/not-a-reboot/desperate-publicity-ploy.

If you want to start the discussion anyway, I'll start! Batgirl is Barbara Gordon. Not Steph (*hearts Steph*), and much more importantly, Babs ain't Oracle anymore. Way to spit on all your disabled fans, guys.

Thanks. I am feeling some better, but this is an (earlier than usual) annual thing, so I know from experience how long it takes me to stop feeling wiped after the smallest exertion. :/

The haiku won me 1000 lj tokens, and the poem has made the finals so that's at least another 500. (If only the real world paid so well: the haiku amounts to $10 for 12 words. Hee!)

The poem... I read the promnpt and that was the first place I went. I put off writing it for several days, thinking somoene else would go there, but nobody did, and the idea just kept eating at me. I am inordinately happy to have made one of the commenters feel ill after reading it. It creeped me out as I was writing it. *g*
