"The truth at the end of time..."

I'm really upset...and a couple people are pretty upset with me right now, well one...with kind of good reason. Anyway, this is a rant and a pretty upset/upsetting one at that; there's your warning. I thought I had some things planned out. I could actually see myself living past eighteen with many regrets, but I could see a life through it all ( Read more... )

Just because a job has a description doesn't mean it's tedious and boring. Everything has a description, and everything can be tedious and boring - as you see with life. It's just what you make of it. Personally, I'm looking forward to being a salesperson, because I think every day will be new and exciting. Every day, I will get a chance to meet someone who wants to love their computer as much as I do.

There are some things you can't change, and some things you can. Most people believe the future is one of the latter, but if you've given up on it already, then that's that. You don't see yourself succeeding, enjoying life, or even being with other people, so you won't be. When you don't see yourself being happy, you aren't. Not much anyone can do to change it, so you can't blame them for doing what you see as leaving you alone... but anyone that knows you is suffering with you. You can't get people to cut you out; it's not as simple as that. One thing you can't change is other people's minds.

I understand I can't change other's minds, but what do you do when you can't change yourself? You know what I've been through, and you probably know that it's not done. I want to be rid of a lot of things so I can just live and talk and not bullshit people all the time. I want my life back...

Then get your life back... Forget about your regrets of the past. Start every day as a new day. The future does not exist yet, a million things can happen between today and tomorrow, however, nothing can happen between today and yesterday, thus it is over.

What's not done? The only reason you can't change yourself is because you firmly and totally believe that you can't. Bullshitting is denying that you have a problem, and you can't solve a problem that you deny.

What's wrong? That's what I would like to know. Oh, and if there's anything specific bothering you, try talking to someone unrelated to the issue so they can tell you their unbiased opinion. Like me for example, hardly involved in any sort of Corner politics.

Why don't you see yourself with a good future? Are you saying that me being such an average person intelligence-wise and not having any direction in life means I'll be in some park as a hobo later in life? Oh, and you won't be alone later in life because there's always going to be someone where you work.

I know that if you ended things now, you'd regret it. You don't have to have a reason to live save life itself- life is its own reason.

I'm quite discouraged that I'm not one of those people who would post here. If there's anything you need, feel free to talk to me. I'm only an IM or phone call away. Aight?

A friend gave me a piece of advice once.... something along the lines of what you were feeling I once felt which was in their terms " What living, going through school, graduating, getting a job, getting married, having kids, and dying isn't good enough for you?" My response was no.... theirs.... me either.... So why ask? Because when you get to the root of everything... YOU can change that. COmplaining yes makes you feel better and I "feel better" way too often.. but seriously GO OUT and CHANGE what you hate... and therefore things are worthwhile even if you NEVER change anything ( ... )

I could go into a huuuge topic about this with you, but that'd probably only irritate you further. Do know that people do pay attention, and that you're not alone. We're around and you can always just reach out and ask us stuff.

I leave you with this lyric you should already know:
"Life is waiting for the ones who love to live, and it's not a secret."

So try, even just a little, to just live life and enjoy it. Find something small that still gives you joy and expand it. Even if it's pwning us all in lasertag.

Instead having someone to live for, why not live for someone? Go find someone who is unhappy and make them happy. In return you might find a little happines yourself ^_^
