Ed has passed.

This is theotherqpc, Ed's partner. For those who do not know, Ed had a massive heart attack about a month ago while in the hospital awaiting heart surgery. The doctors and nurses were able to save him then, but in the following weeks spent in ICU, his condition remained unstable and he never fully woke up, even two weeks after he was taken off

I'd be grateful if you could give us out-of-towners notice if you do decide to make that trip. I would like to be there if possible.

Jeff you and I never met but felt I knew a bit of you through Ed.

Ed was a mighty fine guy and am very sorry for your loss.

I'd only met Ed a couple of times, on his visits up here to Madison to see you, Jeff, but I could see how wonderful he was for you. The ways you can see a man's presence in the ones he loves is a great measure of his worth. So I'll be raising a glass tonight in honor of a very fine man.
