Well wouldn't the most useful and easy to find book on Judaism be the Torah?

Lots of private study and practice here in Wollongong for Jews. There is a very, very small community of largely secular Jews. There is also supposed to be a community of ultra-orthodox Jews somewhere here, but I've never seen then. Alas!

I'm terrible at approaching people I don't know. Meep. I wish I had some Jewish friends in Australia, rather than them all all being in the US.

I also don't think ultra-orthodox is going to be my thing juuuuuust yet anyway! Heheh, I'd be far too intimidated.
