...halp. Peter is trying to convince me I should go to Synagogue tomorrow, but I'm terrified of going alone. D:

I mean, I really, really do want to go. I'm just really nervous. Having to try and do this whilst still going through Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is hard. Mref. Someone come with me!

Who is this Peter you talk about? And where's he wanting you to go?

Peter is... well, would be my partner if he wasn't overseas. He's the person that I first started talking to about Judaism, and he's been the most supportive about it.

And just to a synagogue (Not a particular one). As he says I 'need to start somewhere'.

Ah. Peter is a good man, then. And he's right, you need to start somewhere. The first time I went to shul, I took my boyfriend along (and he left after a little while, as the NSW Labor Conference was on, or something.)

Depends, it'll be much easier to go by yourself to a Liberal/Reform shul, Conservative would be harder, and I certainly would not suggest going it alone with an Orthodox (and I have yet to even set inside an ultra-Orthodox shul, I'm waiting for a Jewish friend to take me.)

But just a note, try to not take a lot as your baggage will be checked. They don't want anybody blowing up the place, afterall.

Well, a friend of mine offered to come with me, but I don't think she realises it would be on so late. But I'm considering it, in any case.

I just wish Peter was here to come with me! Heheh. Anyway, did you have msn? It simply seems as though it would make our conversations easier than constantly commenting back and forth.
