So. Happiness is: screaming like an actual girl, leaping over pub customers and shoving a work friend to one side in order to hug a close friend who's been away for five months. I didn't realise how much I'd missed them until I saw one of them today. Actual happiness. My world feels slightly more righted.
And it's the end of term. Finally. Hello, -
Goodbyes
Very bittersweet end of term. On one hand - it's time for the holidays; to relax and unwind and go on some holidays. But also. The three people I am closest to are leaving my workplace. Two are off to teach in Dubai so I'm happy for them but also gutted because they've been with me every step of the way since my first day as an nqt. I'm not sure ( Read more... ) -

Suddenly feeling overwhelmed with 'expectations'. At work. In my personal life. Everything. And I know that at the heart of it I need to live up to my own expectations. But I don't always know what they are...

Ofsted appearing has done some good. Not only does the overall outcome look like the one we wanted and were aiming for but it also made me realise this:
I love what I do. I love that my job is having a good time with children. I love that my job is imparting knowledge and seeing progress. I love that there IS progress. There is nothing quite like ( Read more... ) -

Hm. Out tonight but not feeling the mood. Nearly went home an hour ago, was persuaded to stay and now I'm sitting pretty much alone. Frustrated! I've also missed the last train so getting home will be a bitch, especially if I did it alone. Oh well. It started well? But I danced to Hey Ya. Like. A. Boss. So not all is bad!!

Beauty. Standing outside in the middle of a storm, lightening snaking down, forking towards the ground. Tentacles of lightening streaking out across the sky. Rain hammering onto your body, rivulets of water sliding down your arm, droplets hanging off every tip of your body. Living. Feeling alive. Surrounded. Enveloped. No escape. -

I'm ill. Ugh. Of course I'm ill. But anyway, this illness is more annoying than anything majorly worrying/serious. However, I am a bit concerned about whether I'll be able to go to all my lessons tomorrow, Tuesday's two hour lesson completely knackered me out, tomorrow I have to be on campus for six hours. Ahhh.
