I'm feeling really awkward about Franziska right now, and so I need your opinions. What do you think of her? Do you cringe every time she posts? Is she okay? Funny? Please be honest. I just need to know what you're all thinking, because I'm not sure what to think.

Okay, time for a von Karma peptalk.

While you've retained some aspects of her relatively well, I've seen her character drop in quality a bit. I remember the first day you played Franz and my eyes were gaping open because of how IC she was.

It seems like you've let her slip.

Honestly? I've done the same thing with Edgey.

My advice at this point, if you're thinking about dropping her, is to revisit her canon and restart her.

Otherwise, a few things I've noticed is she seems... too soft. She's less precise about her arguments too. She's lost that von Karma flare a bit. I mean, this is the girl that went into court and started whipping people, told the judge to stfu, and ran court. She's taken illegal evidence and stuff, she's whipped people unconscious... you gotta make her a little less warm.

Give her that "FOOLISH FOOLHARDY FOOL *SMACK* I'M PERFECT STFU" a bit more.

I think she's great and I love reading and responding to her posts... But she needs more violentness. :) She does have that whip for a reason, remember~♥ Don't be afraid to have her lash out.

i don't understand half of the reason why you make her post the way you do, an example of her crying and apologizing to edgeworth after kicking him in the balls.

i know why she said it; someone told her that because people disappear all the time, she shouldn't be cruel to miles because that might be the last time she sees him

that's all well and good, but the way you handled it was pretty awful, if i may be completely and brutally honest.

i can see franziska being somewhat apologetic, but only somewhat. Or, in fact, she may have even brushed the person who told her that off completely. but, if you wanted to make her apologize ( which in and of itself i feel is pretty OOC for her ), i think she would have done it very begrudgingly and very stubbornly. she's hardened and arrogant and, most of all, perfect. anything she does, whether right or wrong, is justified with that mantra: "a von karma is perfecti know that you probably won't take my crit seriously, but

No, actually, I'm glad you responded. I know there are people out there who feel like you, but I feel like I/they don't reach out, so I'm glad you did. :) And I think you have a lot of points. I'm thinking pretty hard about her characterization, so thanks :>

Sorry, but I don't think you play her as well as you could be. She's not nearly confident enough and often becomes very weepy and pathetic both in her posts and in other peoples'. I can't see her being nearly as, as superficialness suggested, apologetic, and I also can't see her turning as wimpy as she does.

You also need to keep in mind that, despite her pretty outlandish personality, she's a very smart person. She often does some pretty silly things (such as in the log with the Joker with the stand-off, bursting into a room where a strange man is holding a firearm) the way you write her, and on top of looking childish, she ends up looking, ironically, very foolish.

To put it shortly, to me, she's not nearly as quick-witted, cocky and full of personality the way you play her as she is in the game.

Thank you for telling me this. You don't have to be sorry - I definitely want input on how I'm playing her...I'm actually kinda relieved that people are speaking up; I haven't gotten crit on the crit posts yet, so...thanks :)

That seems to be a commonality here, that people don't respond to crit posts. D: Anyway, I'd suggest that you replay parts of the game where she's a major character. Sometimes it's hard to tell who you're playing because her personality is pretty weakly portrayed

Well, I was in Spain when the post was put up, so I got my characters in really late XD The only thing is...I'm not sure how to put the changes into the game. I don't want to restart - I feel like it would be such a waste - but could I just work her back into ICness? Would that be weird?

You've made such a complete 180 with her personality, which has already been explained in detail, that I suggest dropping the character or restarting her.
