Reducing your energy bills (and carbon footprint too)
If you are on some benefits there are various ways to directly reduce your energy bills, i.e. the cost per unit, as opposed the amount you use. Unfortunately the situaion is a complete pig's ear to understand as central government keeps changing things and putting the onus on the individual to magically know what might be available, how and where, ( Read more... ) -

Have received a reply from ATOC regarding my suggestion for the future of the disabled railcard criteria as benefits are changed.

Disabled Railcard Team may conclude PIP = DLA !! - We should tell them otherwise!
I accidentally learned a few months back that the Disabled Persons Railcard (DPRC) team are consulting about how to change their criteria given the killing of DLA, which unless you happen to have a few fluffy priviledged conditions*, is the only way to get one of the railcards**.
